Biogas Trade Manager

We’re not looking for your average Biogas Trade Manager. We’re after a strategic thinker and hands-on expert in feedstock — someone who senses opportunities in biogas production before they arise. Someone who is well-versed in the fascinating world of agri-commodities, organic residual streams (waste) from the food industry, etc. In short: a pioneer eager to accelerate the green gas transition with us — sharp in trading, strong in relationships, and driven by impact.

What will you do?

As a Biogas Trade Manager at ConNRG, you’ll fuel our company’s growth and help accelerate the global energy transition. You’ll have a real impact by expanding and diversifying our customer base and trading activities. Your core responsibility is to spot and seize opportunities, analyze market trends, and turn them into compelling business proposals. By smartly connecting supply and demand for renewable feedstocks — from gas producers to suppliers of organic residual flows — you directly contribute to a sustainable future.

You’ll work closely with ConNRG’s Operations and Sustainability teams and stay ahead of market developments, regulations, and trends — adjusting your trading strategies accordingly. Close collaboration with the Commercial Director ensures that your trading efforts align with broader company goals. You’ll also lead a team of Trade Executives and Specialists.

Who are you?

At ConNRG, you’ll work in an innovative environment contributing to the energy transition. We’re looking for a team player with:

• A strong dose of energy and the drive to make things happen.
• A completed bachelor’s or master’s degree, and at least five years of relevant work experience.
• Excellent analytical skills and the ability to translate data into actionable insights.
• Experience in trading agricultural commodities and biogas certificates such as GoOs, HBEs, or in carbon accounting is a plus.
• A solid understanding of relevant legislation and the ability to link different regulatory frameworks.
• Fluency in both Dutch and English; knowledge of an additional language is an advantage.
• Willingness to work full-time from our Eindhoven office, with one day per week in Rotterdam.
